WOMEN'S REENTRY PROJECT DIRECTOR
The Women’s Reentry Project (WRP) Director will be a vital part of IPMW’s senior leadership team and will enhance our capacity to develop the range of transformational work upon which we are embarking. This a new position, and the successful candidate will be called upon to promote the success of women through various activities. The WRP Director will be a strategic business partner with our Executive Director and work collaboratively with our engaged staff and board to develop and implement reentry programs, policies, procedures, processes and materials and ensure they are in line with IPMW’s strategic and business plans, organizational goals and culture.

in the community to enhance participants’ ability to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
A flexible schedule is negotiable within a standard 40-hour work week. Participation in the on-call rotation, which includes occasional evenings, weekends and/or holidays, is required. IPMW staff are working remotely during the pandemic, with periodic individual visits to the Raleigh office, as needed. In-person residential services are still being provided, following CDC safety guidelines.
JOB TYPE: Senior-level exempt full-time position.
SALARY RANGE: Begins in the mid-to high 60s, depending on qualifications and experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reentry Program Management (30%)
- Direct WRP programs and services; ensure that activities meet or exceed stated outcomes and operate according to organizational systems, structures and contractual requirements.
- Draft program budgets, track income and expenditures, analyze trends and patterns, and prepare narrative and financial reports; monitor program activities for quality and innovation with an eye toward fostering the WRP’s long-term sustainability.
Supervision and Staff Development (30%)
- Hire, manage, train, develop, motivate and evaluate program staff and interns; guide staff in the performance of their day-to-day work responsibilities and provide regular feedback.
- Develop workplans, assign caseloads and designate tasks across the program team; set individual and team goals and benchmarks for success in support of priorities and goals.
- Provide guidance when difficult participant situations arise.
Program Compliance and Reporting (25%)
- Ensure a consistent yet individualized continuum of care for participants at various stages in their transition and reentry journeys.
- Oversee program projections, outcomes, and evaluations and implement best practices and internal controls to minimize risk, safeguard assets, and improve efficiencies.
- Ensure compliant documentation, tracking, monitoring of participant interactions, referrals and stories in both internal and external systems.
Organizational Responsibilities (15%)
- Participate in 1:1 and team meetings, retreats, board meetings, and organizational events.
- Stay abreast of sector trends and build service navigation models/methods that support women in meeting their goals.
- Participate in opportunities to educate and advocate for increased awareness of the issues surrounding women’s incarceration and incarceration in general.
- Develop and cultivate strategic external partnerships and represent organization at relevant community meetings and events.
- Support volunteer, fundraising and grant efforts.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

- A demonstrated high level of maturity, integrity, professionalism, sound judgment, tact, confidentiality and self-care.
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable life experience; Master’s Degree in a related field preferred.
- 8-10 years progressively responsible leadership experience, ideally in a nonprofit or direct social service setting.
- Experience working with people with prior criminal justice involvement and/or facing homelessness; lived experience in the criminal justice, mental health, substance use and/or domestic violence systems strongly preferred.
- Outstanding organization and leadership skills – a demonstrated ability to take initiative, solve problems, stay organized, mediate conflict, coach, inspire and support team members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively and foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate clearly in oral, written, and numeric forms.
- High comfort with technology including MS Office Suite, databases, and online systems.
- Willingness to extend kindness, compassion and accountability to oneself and others.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Strong assessment skills, case management experience and program evaluation expertise.
- Residential treatment or group housing facility experience.
- Social justice orientation with proficiency at coalition-building and utilizing community organizing strategies.
- Hands-on budget management skills, comfortable with numbers and financial reporting.
