Food Assistance:
 
North Raleigh Ministries Food Pantry: Read North Raleigh Ministries’ Facebook post for more information on how individuals in need of emergency food can access their food pantry. Their food pantry hours are 
Mon, Tue & Thu from 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. & Wed 4 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
 
Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC: This site has an interactive map where you can type in your zip code and find food banks operating near you. They are working to stay up to date with ongoing developments. 
 
No Kid Hungry NC: This organization has a list of all pickup sites for lunches during school closures. Text FOODNC or COMIDA to 877-877.
 
Bridge The Gap Mission: This non-profit is working with local grocery stores, restaurants, and food trucks to establish a curbside pickup service, in order to deliver food to families in need during the quarantine.
 
Financial Assistance:
 
Interfaith Prison Ministry for Women: Emergency financial assistance for formerly incarcerated women to assist with costs such as life essentials, prescriptions, cell phone and connectivity, transportation, rent or program fees, utilities, and other expenses.  Case management and systems navigation support is available, where possible.  

Friendship Fund of the First Presbyterian Church of Raleigh: Provides financial aid to those in need in our community struggling with bills due to unforeseen circumstances.  Call 919-833-4070 on Tuesday morning at 9:30 am to schedule an appointment. 


Dorcas Ministries: Client Services is open for financial and prescription assistance. Call (919) 469 -9861 or click the link.
 
Wake County Human Services: This government body is a combination of programs and services that includes social services, public health, and transportation. Their website has an information page on how to access services from home. At this time they have several programs to address emergency assistance:
-       Crisis Intervention Program (assistance with heating, electricity, or gas bill payments)
-       Food Stamp (SNAP) Program (addresses food insecurity)

American Psychological Association: COVID-19 information and resources on a variety of topics including behavioral and public health, parenting, PTSD and trauma, self-care, stress, anxiety and grief, work and behavioral and public health.  

InterACT: Support for victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. They offer a crisis hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, education resources, and more. Their 24-hour crisis hotlines are openDomestic Violence: 919-828-7740

​Housing Assistance:
 
Oak City Cares: This is a Raleigh-based non-profit that aimed at preventing and ending homelessness has a COVID-19 Agency Update page on their website, last updated on May 10, 2020, which provides information on how to receive assistance from Oak City Cares in the wake of the pandemic.
-       Oak City cares intakes clients through Coordinated Entry or at 984-344-9599.

-      Mobile showers and laundry are available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
